2024 Camp Season Is Here!
"My son loves this camp. The people there are great and the cost is reasonable. I just wish it was longer!"

About Anderson Woods
Nestled along its namesake, the Anderson River in rural Southern Indiana, Anderson Woods was founded in 1978, and is a private, not-for-profit corporation chartered to provide summer camp experiences, as well as other services, for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The founders of Anderson Woods, Judy and David Colby, shared a vision of providing an experience that would foster self-esteem and empower these Special Ones to fulfill the potential within. From 3 campers sleeping in tents the first summer, our camp, which spans 165 acres in Perry County, now welcomes hundreds of campers of all ages and disabilities who sleep in four cabins each summer. Our aim is to provide self-confidence, dignity, and choices to persons with disabilities who, too often, are given none. It is with much humility and hope that we walk forward to serve these Special Ones.
