Join us as a volunteer staff member!
The day to day operation of our summer camp would not be possible without the hearts and the hands of the individuals who come to serve as volunteer staff members. In recent years our volunteers staff have been junior high and high school students, looking to make a difference while providing invaluable help to our paid staff members. This summer, in addition to our young volunteers, now called junior volunteers, we are introducing a new position, senior volunteers. Through this newly-created position, for individuals 22 years and older, we hope to welcome adult friends of Anderson Woods to share in our unique and rewarding camp experience.
As a volunteer staff member one can expect to spend one or more of our camp sessions helping provide for the needs of our campers and ensuring that the campers are having an unforgettably fun time. Each volunteer is an extra set of hands for our staff, and is a friend to our campers. While volunteers are at Anderson Woods to serve our special people, they can expect to come away from the experience a changed and better person.
Many of our volunteer staff members return for multiple summers, and several have become some of our very best paid staff members. For more information about joining our volunteer staff visit our staff page, or click here to fill out an application.
Are you part of a Service Group looking to Make a Difference?
Preparation of the Anderson Woods campground for the summer would be impossible without the selfless gift of time from numerous volunteer groups that help us. Volunteers from Scout groups, church groups, and National Honor Societies spend Saturdays in the spring helping to clear the trails and prepare the cabins for the arrival of our campers.
If you think your service group would like to donate time to help us serve our campers, please contact us to arrange a date.
