One Who Plants A Seed
Believes in God
The absence of a
caretaker this winter has been hard but there has been an unexpected
pleasure. I have had the privilege of starting the organic seedlings in
our greenhouse. This began in early
February with twice daily visits, many in the dark of night and pre-dawn
times as I returned from or left for my office in Henderson. It has been 11 years since I’ve did this and I am reminded anew of the beautiful possibilities contained in each tiny seed. One who plants a seed truly believes in God.
Each
morning I tended them and then stood over them and asked blessings on
them; each evening, a silent moment of thanks for the wonder of it all. There are
now transferred to the garden to come to their full potential and be food
to enrich our campers bodies and minds. Their roots touch the fertile earth, a spring rain comes and all creation rejoices at yet another miracle. ~ Judy Colby
